We create all kinds of illustrations in many styles and mediums such as digital (vector and bitmap), pencil, watercolour and oil paints. We also create CAD drawings for accurate work such as contruction or engineering drawings. We illustrate for all kinds of projects such as:
  • infographics
  • book covers
  • illustrated books
  • poster art
  • greeting cards
  • printed homeware products
  • CAD drawings
Below are just a few examples. There are more on our Portfolio page too. To see a full range of our illustration and fine art take a look here.
The job

An artwork for canvas prints.

Our approach

A little research on shoes was needed first, followed by some hand drawing. The drawings were then scanned and used as reference to create each individul shoe in Illustrator. The hearts were also created in Illustrator and then all the elements put together to create different sized artworks ready for printing on canvas.

The job

Product illustrations for a company manufacturing expanded metal products for the building industry.

Our approach

We had to produce around 30 of these illustrations for use in brochures and other marketing material.

Using the actual products as reference these were created in Illustrator using fills, gradient fills and meshes. Using Illustrator produces much cleaner images and, as they are vector files, allows rescaling to any size with no loss of quality.

The job

A Christmas card illustration.

Our approach

A few rough sketches of Santa were done to get the idea and then a detailed drawing produced and scanned in to the computer. This was then used as the reference in Photoshop where the artwork was painted using a Wacom tablet and a number of layers.

The job

A technical drawing as part of a series of CAD drawings for a building project.

Our approach

Working from pencil sketches produced by the client all the drawing were produced in Autocad to exact dimensions and scale.

The job

An illustration for a poster for a music event.

Our approach

We started with hand sketches as usual to get ideas down quickly. Then, using reference photos, a more detailed drawing of the guitarist was completed. This was then scanned and used as the basis of the vector artwork in Illustrator. The background pattern and musical notes were created directly in Illustrator to complete the artwork.

The job

A set of 4 greeting card designs.

Our approach

These were created from detailed pencil drawings, scanned in to Photoshop and coloured using a Wacom tablet and stylus.

The job

An artwork to be used on fine china tableware. We also created artwork of mushrooms, peppers and olives for the set.

Our approach

From pencil sketches approved by the client these were then painted using oil paints on smooth board, primed with a white acrylic gesso and sandpapered to a smooth finish.
